Useful keyboard shortcuts
 
CTRL + SHIFT + T opens the last tab you closed. Chrome remembers up to 10 tabs you closed.
 
CTRL + + (plus key) to increase text size
 
CTRL + – (minus key) to decrease text size
 
CTRL + 0 (zero) to reset the zoom
 
To delete a file, click on a file then press ALT + backspace
 
* Note that standard keyboard shortcuts for copy (Ctrl­ + C), cut (Ctrl + ­ X), paste (Ctrl­ + V), and Undo (Ctrl­ + Z), work the same as PC's.
 
 
How to take a screenshot

- Use CTRL + WINDOWS SWITCHER (F5) to take a full-screen screenshot
- Use CTRL + SHIFT + WINDOWS SWITCHER (F5) to take a selected screen screenshot
- Look for your screenshot under the Downloads folder
 
 
How to extend battery life

- Turn down the brightness
- Close unnecessary apps and tabs
- Turn off Bluetooth
- Unplug peripherals
- Shut down or put into sleep mode when idle
- Power off completely when done using
 
 
How to optimize battery life/longevity
 
- Store your Chromebook in a cool, dry place
- Don't charge while using it
- Don't charge your phone from your Chromebook
- Don't constantly charge it
- Never charge when hot
- Charge only when cool
- Once it is fully charged, unplug it
 
 
How to fix a frozen screen
 
If your screen is frozen and you can't sign out of your account, try performing a hard restart.
  1. Hold down the power button for a few seconds. This should log you out of your Google account, but it’s not 100% reliable.
  2. Use the power button to start the device back up again.
Here’s an alternative method:
  1. Hold the Refresh button.
  2. Tap the Power button
