End 68 Hours of Hunger

End 68 Hours of Hunger is a public non-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday.

MILFORD

    • Milford’s chapter is an all volunteer group that started in 2015
    • We service students in Milford in grades K-8
    • Students in need are identified by the school social worker
    • We purchase food that is redistributed into bags for the children to take home
    • Each bag weighs about 6 pounds and costs about $15
    • We deliver the bags to the schools each Thursday of the school year
    • The social workers distribute the bags to go home with the students
    • We distribute approximately 84 bags each week
    • Our annual budget is $44,772
  • We rely on donations - 100% of which go to feeding Milford’s students in need
