2026 - February

Fri, Feb 13, 4:01 PM

Dear Milford Community,

This is a friendly reminder to please join us Monday evening at 5:00 p.m. in the Milford High School Lecture Hall for our Save the Trades event.

We are honored to welcome Steve Turner, Founder and CEO from Bring Back the Trades, who will speak about the growing importance of skilled trades education and workforce pathways for students across our country and here in Milford.

Following the presentation, guests are invited to take part in a guided tour of Milford High School’s Applied Technology Center to see firsthand the spaces where our students are building valuable skills and career opportunities.

This event is part of our continued community conversation about the future of Career and Technical Education in Milford and our proposed Applied Technology Center renovation project that will come before voters this March. We hope you will join us to learn more and be part of this important discussion for our students and community.

All are welcome, including families, students, alumni, local businesses, and community members.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Milford students and schools. I hope to see you Monday evening.

Kindly,
Superintendent Michaud

Dear Milford Community,

On Monday evening, February 16, the Milford School Board will review proposed revisions to the Bullying Prevention – Pupil Safety and Violence Prevention Policy (5509/JICK). These revisions reflect input gathered from parents, students, and staff following a recent bullying incident at Milford Middle School, as well as recent legislative changes (HB108) related to cross-district and cross-state bullying incidents.

You will notice that new Sections A and K have been added, along with additional definitions in Section B. Related policies—including JICK: Student Discipline and Due Process and JIC: Student Conduct—are also currently under review by the School Board Policy Committee, as they guide how student conduct concerns are addressed.

Community members are encouraged to share public input for the Board’s consideration at Monday night’s meeting, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Milford High School Lecture Hall.

Kindly,
Superintendent Michaud
